Our Non-GMO Hybrid Popcorn Seed Program

We have an excellent portfolio of hybrid popcorn seed and continue our testing every year across the US Corn Belt and around the world in order to offer you only the best performance products.

Rough outline of greatest corn production in the Midwestern United States.

A major consideration in hybrid selection is maturity. Maximum popping potential of a hybrid can be achieved only if it reaches full maturity. Any factor that prematurely terminates plant development (e.g., drought stress, disease, frost, etc.) reduces popping potential.

The "right" popcorn hybrids must meet the needs of both grower and consumer. The grower wants high yields, strong stalks and good disease resistance; the consumer wants popped corn that's tender and good tasting.

Our highest yield potential white hybrid with our earliest maturity. Most plants will double ear. Small kernel size with very good eating qualities.
VYP315
Butterfly

101-103
Very high yielding, we have seen some field average yields exceed 10,000 lbs per acre in 2009 with 2010 being nearly as good. Excellent early vigor and standability at harvest. Dries down easily and shells even easier.
VYP410
Mushroom

101-103
Our best mushroom hybrid. A very good yielding early mushroom hybrid. Dries quickly and shows significantly better mushrooming ability over VYP420 with better yield potential.
